We take our meat to Springfield Meats in Richland, PA and Lehigh Valley Meats in Nazareth, PAThey are both USDA certified facilities.

How much freezer space will I need for a bulk box?

Grass Fed Beef/Grain Fed Beef

Quarters: Small Chest Freezer (4 cu. feet)

Halves: Half of a large upright freezer (8-10 cu. feet)

Whole: Large upright freezer (16-20 cu. feet)

Pastured Pork

Halves: Small Chest Freezer (4 cu. feet)

Whole: Half of a large upright freezer (8-10 cu. feet)

How long will my bulk box last?

You first need to think about how much meat your family eats on a regular basis. However, the following is a rough estimate of what your scenario might look like.

Grass Fed Beef/Grain Fed Beef

Quarters (80-110 lbs of take home meat): Recommended for a family of 2 adults and 1-2 children. Will last roughly 6 months-1 year.

Halves (160-215 lbs take home meat): Recommended for a family of 2 adults and 2-5 children. Will last roughly 6 months-1 year.

Whole (325-430 lbs take home meat): Recommended for a large family that consumes a lot of beef or is sharing among multiple families. Will last roughly 6 months-1 year.

How does pricing work for the bulk boxes?

The pricing for ordering bulk boxes is based on the weight of each individual animal. You will be paying per lb. for the hanging weight of the animal. The hanging weight of the animal is the weight the butcher gives us after the animal has been taken back to the butcher shop to hang.

How Do I order a Bulk Box?

Step 1: Complete the order form for your grass fed beef order or pastured pork order.

Step 2: Pay the deposit of $100, $200, or $400, depending on the size of your order.

Step 3: Pick up your order on the designated pick up date at Willow Run Farmstead. Your final payment will be due at that time.
