At Willow Run Farmstead, we are focused on three things: producing high quality food in a humane way that is environmentally sustainable.
When you sit down for a meal with your family, you want the best for each and every person sitting around your table. From our perspective, our customers are the family sitting around our table. As a small, local farm, we get to watch as our customer’s children grow up. We get to talk to each and every one of you as you pick out your meat for the week. And we care that the food you are putting on your table from our farm is not only delicious, but also helps your children grow to their fullest potential.
Our community is the reason we farm the way we do. Our meats are high quality because of our commitment to raising our cattle and pigs on pasture. We choose to raise our animals on pasture because it is best for our animals to have access to high quality grass and free range to be outside. We farm the way we do because it is good for the environment; the pastures keeping our soils rich and our waters clean. We farm this way because our farm may be small, but we are a part of a larger community and our choices to manage our land and animals responsibly are a part of a much bigger picture.
